Bit of History

Lisa Waterman, mother of Sarah Fay,  Melissa Harsche, and Justin Waterman has been in the horse industry for over 35 years; showing and training 3-day eventors, pasofinos and peruvian pasos, Quarter Horses and POAs.  Lisa's understanding of  fundamentals and horse performance is what has made Diamond W Ranch what it is today.  Craig Waterman has been the ultimate "show dad" aside from attending the large shows for support he has been the creative one, building costumes, making obstacles, built us a barn and is always there to greet us with a smile after a rough class...although on the side lines, he is a huge part of Diamond W Ranch's success!

Sarah Fay, Sarah Halagean as of 8-13-11, showing from the age of 3, has been greatly involved with Quarter Horses, POA's, and now Appaloosa's.  For many years Sarah focused on young JPFC horses, these horses did exceptionally well in the show pen and then went on to become awesome youth ponys. In the past 8 years sarah has taken several young horses to the international and world levels; earning numerous titles from each. Sarah now has purchased her first appaloosa, Cool In Blue, look for her on the appy circuit starting in 2011.

Mel Harsche, now located in Fort Worth Texas, has created Harsche Performance Horses.  Mel has been showing competitvely from the age of 3 and became one of the top youth competitors on the POA circut; earning multiple International titles and won the Leanard Lewis Futurity in 2006 . Mel (Harsche Performance Horses) has now made the transistion into Appaloosas.

Diamond W Ranch has began its transition from POA to ApHC. We are located in the heart of the Willamete Valley in Eugene Oregon.  Beginning in 2011 Sarah will begin showing the Washington State circuit with Cool In Blue, Mel will be showing Sirius Like Da Radio at the big ApHC futurities and World show, and Lisa starts her ApHC season in 2012 with AM Radio.
